Here’s what you might wanna know
People keep asking us stuff – about jobs, hours, language, working from anywhere, how we work, and why we don’t do overtime. So we figured: Let’s just put the answers out there for everyone.
Still got questions? Ping us anytime – email, LinkedIn, whatever works for you. We’re nice. 😎
And even if your contact person’s on vacation or part-time – we’ll make sure someone gets back to you.
Because we build meaningful tech with purpose – and we do it with people who care. We work in cross-functional teams, follow agile principles, lean thinking, and keep learning from each other. We’re into solving real problems with software (and often: AI), not building for the sake of building. We believe: Intrinsic motivation beats hustle culture. And yes, we love what we do – and we’re not shy about it. 💙 💚 Culture? Think: honest, curious, kind. We respect boundaries, share knowledge, celebrate wins, and check in on each other. We’re big on transparency and async comms. We trust each other to get the job done – without micromanagement or hero culture.
Nope. Part-time is totally fine too. Some of us work 25 hours, others 32, some do the full 40 – and many adjust over time depending on life, family, projects, you name it. Also: You can totally join a meeting with your kid in the background or a sandwich in hand. Just tell us what you’re looking for.
Not necessarily. You should be fluent in English (C1 or better). Some projects may need German skills (especially client-facing ones, but most often not even these), but we’ll let you know in the job ad. German’s a nice-to-have – not a dealbreaker.
If we’re hiring you as an employee (not freelance), and you don’t live in the EU – yes, a valid work permit is required. The EU Blue Card is one such option. More info: make-it-in-germany.com/en
Nope. Zero overtime tolerance. We don’t believe in working until you drop. We believe in working well – sustainably. If something big slips through and we do need to stretch once or twice a year, we treat that as a learning moment: What went wrong? How do we prevent it next time? Work is a marathon, not a sprint. Especially in tech. (Even if we work in sprints – yes, we do.)
Yes! Depending on the project and timing, we sometimes work with freelancers and contractors. Just ask – we’re open to flexible setups if it makes sense for both sides.
We build digital products and services – from prototypes to full-scale platforms. We also help teams level up their operations, strategy, or AI implementation. Basically: If it’s digital, meaningful, and complex enough to be fun – we’re in. Sometimes it’s our own thing, sometimes it’s for clients – always collaborative.
You’ll mostly find us on Slack, good ol' E-Mail, absence, GitHub, Google Workspace, Miro, PyCharm, VS Code, zsh, tmux, Zim and the occasional Post-it wall. But we’re flexible – if there’s a better tool for the job, we’re up for it.
